PATRICIA ROBERSON GRAY


Memorial services for Patricia Roberson Gray will be held on Friday, July 
14, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 Hancock Street in St. 
Joseph, LA. Officiating will be Father Gregg Riley. Patricia Roberson Gray 
was born on January 30, 1934 in Ruston, LA, to Hugh and Mary Lyle Roberson, 
and died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family after a brief 
illness on July 11, 2017. A passionate gardener, Pat loved spending time in 
her bountiful yard. She grew everything from wild flowers to seasonal 
vegetables and herbs. She loved walking her friends through her garden and 
explaining how she nurtured each bloom. Pat also enjoyed cooking and being 
adventurous in the kitchen. In addition to gardening and cooking, she loved 
animals, especially her canine companions, Kissy and Belle.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dr. John Hugh 
Roberson, and former husband, Marine Corps pilot, Lt. Col. Robert Lester 
Gray, Jr. She is survived by her children, Drake Alexander Gray (Lisa) of 
Herndon, VA; Lisa Haddad Dixon (Junot) of Monroe; and Leslie Powell Gray 
(Jamie) of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by her six 
grandchildren, Shane Gray; Jordan and Stuart Haddad; Ramsey Powell and Erin 
and Trey Gray. The family sends special thanks to Pat's outstanding 
caregiver, Shannon Newton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that 
memorials are sent to Christ Episcopal Church of St. Joseph, LA, where Pat
