GREEN Allan Eli Green, Jr. MD, 84, entered into rest Thursday, September 3, 2015 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends and family Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Parish Hall at the church. Dr. Green was born in Peru on November 4, 1930 to the late Allan Eli and Martha Louise DeLaHousaye Green, Sr. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Doctor of Medicine and served his American Radium Society Fellowship at M.D Anderson Hospital. Dr. Green practiced medicine for 65 years and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of major. He was a member of The Society of Nuclear Medicine, The American Society of Therapeutic Radiology, American College of Radiology, American Board of Radiology, and The Southern Radiological Society. He was Chief of Staff at Glenwood Hospital and North Monroe Hospital and had a private practice with Radiology Consultants of West Monroe for 25 years. Dr. Green was the Commissioner of Horse Racing in Louisiana, appointed to the Coal Mine Commission by President Nixon, President of the Ouachita Parish Medical Society, President of the Louisiana State Medical Society, and President of the Louisiana State Radiological Society. He was presently practicing at the University of South Alabama Women's and Children's Hospital two weeks before his passing. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur DeLaHousaye Green. He is survived by his wife, Hertha R. Green, four children, Allan Eli (Mary Beth) Green, Ann Louise (James) Jopling, Warren John (Cynthia Ann) Green, and Douglas Edward (Annette Christine Duggan) Green, a step-daughter, Lurleen Fuller, a sister-in-law, Martha Ann Green, 19 grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, and two nieces.
