GREEN Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Hugh L. Green, 91, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in the mausoleum chapel at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating, and Mr. Green's nephew, John Bell, III. providing special music. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Monroe, LA. Mr. Green was born on April 15, 1925 and passed away on January 21, 2017 at the Stoneybrook Stoneybrook Alzheimer's Assisted Living in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Green was a re retired Letter Carrier with the United States Postal Service. He served in the Un United States Army and is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Ruth Green; pa parents, Henry Judson and Alice Compton Green; sister, Evelyn Funk and brother, W. W.J. Green. Survivors include his children, Randy Green and wife, Ginger of Mandeville, LA; Jeanine Hicks and husband, John; and Donna Calhoun and husband, Kevin, all of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Kelsey Green Trimble and husband, Kevin; Kirk Daniel Green and wife, Elizabeth; Amber Hicks Hennigan and husband, Greg; Lee Hunter Hicks and wife, Carol Ann; Hope Calhoun Hawthorne and husband, Daniel; and Anneliese Calhoun Kelley and husband, Roger; ten great grandchildren with one on one on the way; and sister, Marjorie Sholes of Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the Mausoleum chap chapel on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, The Veterans Ad Administration organization of your choice or charity of your choice . The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and administration of Stoneybrook Alzheimer's Assisted Living for the love and care give given during Mr. Green's illness.
