Interment will follow in the Greer Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville. She was born on March 1, 1934 in Joaquin, Texas and passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was a loving wife, a dear mother, grandmother, and Great grandmother. She was a special person in that she was always more concerned about others than herself. She was a devoted homemaker, gardener, and until her death played a big role in the family farm. She was an inspiration to many during her time of illness, always expressing her faith, and telling others that everything was alright. She was a member of Rayville First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents-B. E. Blackmon and Grace Martin Blackmon; two sisters-Geneva Faucheaux and Christine Holbrook; and a brother- Wallace Ray Blackmon. She is survived by her husband of 63 years-Frank E. Greer; one son-Edward Earl Greer and wife Gail of Rayville; two daughters-Carol Jean Greer Stansbury and husband David of Rayville and Rhonda Greer Wallace and husband Thomas of Crowville; three sisters- Mary Gooch of Bridgecity, Tx, Wanda Greer of Rayville, and Ann Keye of Murryville, GA; Grandchildren-Toni Greer, Crystal Barras, Brooks Greer, Adam Stansbury, Kyla Branch, Misty O'Neal, Nick Weems, and Ally Beth Weems; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Adam Stansbury, Tim Branch, Nick Weems, Brooks Greer, Mike Barras, and Scott Hunt. A special thanks to her church family, doctors and staff at Richardson Medical Center, and all the employees and management of Richland Hospice.
