DIED - On the 30th ult. the Rev. Jeremiah Griffing, aged 47 years - and his 
son Gabriel J. Griffing, aged 24 years - both of Washita [sic] Parish, 
Louisiana.

Additional Comments:
Jeremiah was the son of Gabriel and Hannah Coleman Griffing.  Jeremiah and his 
wife Elizabeth raised five known children at Prairie Jefferson, Ouachita 
Parish [now Oak Ridge,LA in Morehouse Parish]:  Jayne, Hannah, Sarah, Hulda 
and Gabriel.
