MICHAEL LOUIS GRIGGS 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, Louisiana 

Funeral services for Michael Louis Griggs, 22, of West Monroe, will be held on 
Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home of West Monroe with Rev. Mike Stravato officiating. Interment will follow 
at Douglas Cemetery in Choudrant, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home of West Monroe. Michael was born November 11, 1984, in Monroe, LA, and 
passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2006, in Shreveport, LA. A lifelong 
resident of the West Monroe community, Michael was an ironworker in the 
construction industry. He was preceded in death by both his father and his 
grandfather, Robert L. Griggs, Jr. and Robert L. Griggs, Sr. Michael is 
survived by his mother, Michelle Murphy and special father, Elgin Gatewood; his 
grandparents, Nancy Murphy, Mike Davis, and Linda and Devon Woodall; lifelong 
special friends, Heather Branch and family, and by several aunts, uncles and 
cousins. Active pallbearers will be Tony Hodge, Paul Davis, Ricky Bell, Jr., 
Kenny Green, Mike Green, and Victor Jensen. Honorary pallbearers will be 
Jamey "Red" Porter, Chad Hatten, Bobby Murphy, and Keith Woodall. Visitation 
will be Wednesday, January 3, 2007, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home of West Monroe.
