LOUISE SLOCUM GRIGGS

Funeral Services for Louise Slocum Griggs, 95, of West Monroe, LA will be held 
11:00 A.M. Monday, June 2, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West 
Monroe with Danny Johnston and Richard Byrd officiating. Interment will follow 
in New Chapel Hill Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Louise was born December 4, 1918 and passed away May 30, 2014. She was a member 
of North 5th Street Church of Christ, West Monroe. Mrs. Griggs is preceded in 
death by her husband, Byron "Dick" Griggs; parents, C.F. and Cora Slocum; sons, 
Tommy Daniel and Jerry G. Griggs; granddaughter, Janice Sturges; brothers, 
Marvin, Maloy, Barnie and O.H. Slocum; and sisters, May Baxter, Velva Williams 
and Lillian Mason.

Survivors include her son, Aubrey Griggs and wife, Patsy; daughter-in-law, Betty 
Sue Griggs Knowles; five grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and sixteen 
great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Griggs, Jr., Clint M. Griggs, Trey Griggs, David 
Griggs, Tommy Griggs, Charles Ray Baxter and Jeff Fisby.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Doc Hearn and Leon Tilford.

Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Hospice Family 
Alliance and to Mrs. Louise's sitters.
