MARY KATHRYN GROOM

Funeral services for Mary Kathryn Groom will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 26, 
2016 at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Marcelle Crow 
Officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under 
the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, La.

Mary Kathryn Groom was born on July 10, 1930 in DeKalb, Texas and passed away 
at Ridgecrest Community Care Center in West Monroe, LA. on July 21, 2016. She 
was married to Bruce Otto Groom on November 23, 1946 and has been a resident of 
Monroe since 1955. She was a member of Reveille Methodist Church in Monroe, LA. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce O. Groom, her parents Max O. 
and Velma L. Martin, and one sister, Helen Weems. She is survived by her 
sisters-in-law, Maxine Hall of Leechburg, Pennsylvania and Lynda Groom of De 
Kalb, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter, 417 Well Road, 
West Monroe, LA 71292 or Reveille United Methodist Church.
