Rev. Darrell Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, Louisiana. Sherry was born on August 28, 1979 in Shreveport and grew up in Haughton, Louisiana. She passed away on February 15, 2016 at her home in Calhoun, Louisiana. In her work life, she was proudest of having been an xray technician. Sherry is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Taylor Danielle St. John, her mother Christy Caraway, her father, Bruce White, her maternal grandfather, Miles Caraway, and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James White. She is survived by her husband, Vic Gross; children, Tiffany St. John, Kaylea Scott, Tony Gross and his wife Christie, Gayla Abercrombie and her husband Adam, Steven Gross and Christina Gross; sisters, Brianne and her husband Ryan Zimmerman and Ashleigh Bostwick; her maternal grandmother, Carole Caraway; two aunts, Caye Bryce and husband Kenny and Candy Milam and husband Milton; four grand children and very close friends, Bobbie Smarr, Makaylin Lewis and Donna Sanford. Behind her ice blue eyes and sweet smile was one of the kindest human beings those who knew her ever met. Her heart was big and remained open to all, despite a difficult childhood and many tragedies throughout her brief life. She loved all people and all animals. Above all, she loved and cherished her family. Loved ones left behind are comforted by the peace and happiness she was finally able to attain in the last years of her life. She will be sorely missed. Pallbearers will be Dylan Spillers, Carter Lawrence, Derrick Greene, Sandy Sanford, Kenny Bryce, and Richard Gross. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Ruston. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
