Tuesday, September 16, 2008, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Wayne Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hale, a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and faithful friend to all who knew her, answered God's heavenly call on September 14, 2008. She was born in Monroe, LA on September 3, 1948. Mrs. Hale is survived by her brother, Donald Hale of Baton Rouge, LA; her sister, Carolyn Brewer of Rockwall, TX; nieces, Marci Freeman and Jaye Comer; nephews, Glen Hale and Jordyn Brewer; great-aunt to Austin and Kimberlyn Freeman, Jacob and Samantha Hale, Christian and Madalyn Comer. Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ollie Hale. Brenda lived most of her life in Monroe, LA. She graduated from Neville High School and NLU, where she majored in Business Administration. She played on numerous softball teams and became a talented tennis player. She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe. She is cherished and will be missed by a multitude of people. Having the heart of a lion, the spirit of a warrior, and the character of a faithful servant, she leaves an unforgettable legacy. Her relentless faith in God has touched numerous lives during her courageous battle of cancer. She drew her last breath in the butterfly unit of Hospice of Baton Rouge. God has now lifted her to a place of healing, peace, and eternal joy. Pallbearers are Glen Hale, Randy Harris, Jordyn Brewer, Dr. William Freeman, Austin Freeman, and Shaphan Comer. Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2008, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
