The Rev. Matthew Fricke, Rector of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Alexandria, LA will conduct the graveside services. Survivors include her two sons, John Michael, living in Indonesia with wife Miranty, daughter Tyara and son Jessie; Susan Louise Lacy Wheeler, living in Jefferson, Ohio with husband Fred Wheeler and son Clayton; Kenneth Ashley Lacy, living in Charlotte, NC with wife Connie and daughter Megan, son Kenneth resides in Bermuda. Leora was preceded in death by her parents, AC and Jesse Blangy and step father, Jefferson Davis Lefors, her husband of 33 years John Lacy, husband of 20 years Bob Hamm and her son Patrick. A native of South Dakota, Leora lived in Clinton, Mississippi before moving to Alexandria and attending Bolton High School. She spent the biggest part of her life in the Lafayette, Louisiana area where she was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and active in the Altar Guild and St. Hilda's Guild in the 1970's and 1980's. For a period of time she was employed by Van Eaton and Romero Real Estate as an agent. Some of her favorite roles were that of homemaker, mother and grandmother. Leora was an avid golfer and tennis player winning several local golf and tennis tournaments in Lafayette and Jackson, MS. She also enjoyed her regular bridge games. Leora volunteered with several local charities and was recently associated with the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes.
