NELDA SPRINGFIELD HAMMONS

Funeral services for Nelda Springfield Hammons, 83, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at10:00 AM, Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the chapel of Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Hawthorne will officiate and Rev. Mike Green will 
officiate at the graveside at Friendship Cemetery, Sikes, LA under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Nelda Springfield Hammons was born May 12, 1932 in Jackson Parish, LA and went 
to be with her heavenly father on February 18, 2016 in West Monroe. She was 
preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Neza Springfield; husband, Lyndon 
Hammons; son-in-law, Tony Turner; brother, Kenneth Springfield. She loved to 
bowl and was an avid basketball and ladies softball fan. Mrs. Hammons was a 
retired nurse and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her children, 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Frankie Turner and Sherri Fletcher 
and husband Steve; granddaughters, Jamie Turner, Jennifer Turner, and Lynse 
Fletcher; great-grandchildren, Kalyn, Riley and Mason, Ava and Kain; siblings, 
Wanda Thames and Elwyn Springfield and dear to her heart a special niece, Pam 
Kemp, special friends, Greg Duncan, Voe Mann, and the staff of Stat Home 
Health.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fletcher, Jay Fletcher, Shannon Fletcher, Charles 
Hodges, Charlie Kemp and Steve Fletcher.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM 
at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
