VIRGINIA HAMMONS 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA. 

Funeral Services for Virginia Hammons, 73 of Downsville, LA, will be held on 
Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Downsville United Methodist Church 
with Rev. Charles Davis and Rev. Gloria Youngblood officiating. Graveside 
services will follow in Downsville Cemetery officiated by Rev. Mike Devillier 
under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Mrs. 
Hammons was born on March 24, 1936 in Downsville, LA, and passed away on June 
25, 2009 in Ruston, LA. She was a member of Downsville United Methodist Church 
where she played the piano and organ for over 55 years. She was a retired 
Postmaster of Downsville. Survivors include her husband Cleve Hammons of 
Downsville, LA, sons Keith Hammons and wife Elaine of Downsville, LA; Jerry 
Hammons and wife Donna of Downsville, LA, Ken Hammons and wife Nanette of 
Tallahassee, FL; Tim Hammons of Downsville, LA; grandchildren Joshua, Angela, 
Brittany, Debin, and Joey. Great-grandchild, Ayden, along with several nieces 
and nephews. Pallbearers will be Johnny McFarland, James B. Guice, Marvin 
McFarland, Mike Lazenby, Tommy Banks and Ronnie Hammons. Memorials may be made 
to the Downsville United Methodist Church Building Fund and Downsville Baptist 
Church Building Fund
