ROSE MARIE SMITH HAMPTON

Cox Funeral Home

Oak Grove, LA

Funeral services for Rose Marie Smith Hampton, age 74, of Oak Grove, LA., will 
be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
in Oak Grove.

Father Richard Norsworthy will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Mrs. Hampton died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak 
Grove.

She is preceded in death by son, Joe F. Hampton, Jr.; granddaughter, Elizabeth 
Rose Ward; her parents, William Burl Smith and Antonia Hudolin Smith; and a 
brother, Willie Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Franklin Hampton, Sr; son and 
daughter-in-law, Bruce and Cindy Hampton of Farmerville, LA.; son, David 
Hampton of West Monroe, LA.; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Greg Ward of 
Oak Grove.

She is survived by 9 grandchildren: Slade Hampton of Monroe, LA.; Patches 
Mechelle Euchaski of Lafayette, Louisiana; Trippe Hampton of San Diego, 
California; Drew Hampton of Ruston, LA.; Judith Hampton of Ruston, Louisiana; 
Whitney Hampton of West Monroe; Lauren Hampton of West Monroe; Joel Ward of 
Oak Grove; Allison Ward of Oak Grove; 2 brothers, Kenneth Smith of Angleton, 
Texas; and Donald Smith of Oak Grove.

Pallbearers are; Joel Ward, Drew Hampton, Slade Hampton, Scott Lee, Todd Chop, 
Jeff Chop, Trippe Hampton, and Glen Smith.
