Funeral services for retired Monroe City Fire Captain, Andrew "Andy" Scott Hampton, age 45, will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Family Church at 320 Laird Street in West Monroe. Officiating will be Pastor Arvil Ogle and Pastor Michael Stravato. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe. Andy was born on November 25, 1964, and passed away at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Hampton; daughter, Anna Kate Hampton; son, Logan Hampton; mother, Doris Hampton; father, Bill Hampton all of Monroe; brother, Randy Hampton and his wife, Barbara of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-laws, Pam Kennedy and her husband, Mike of Pineville, LA; Paula Kline and her husband, Freddie of Deville, LA and Theresa Perry of Delhi, LA; father-in-law, James Case; nephews, Derrick and Thomas; nieces, Heather, Samantha, Sarah, Leigh, Greer and Alyssa. Andy was a member of Family Church. He was also an occupational therapy assistant. Andy loved his family and was passionate about sharing his love for the game of baseball with them which included watching the majors, coaching and cheering from the stands. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Pallbearers will be Alan Gary, Tracy Douglas, Robert Davis, Carl Dunn, Patrick Delano, Paul Stapp, Bill Pearson, and Scott Lovelady. Honorary pallbearers will be Monroe City Firefighters. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe on Lamy Lane. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Andy Hampton Account Fund at Community Trust Bank or a charity of the donor's choice.
