DANNY RAY HANCOCK


Funeral services for Danny Ray Hancock, 56, of Downsville, LA will be held at 
2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Holmesville Baptist Church in the 
Holmesville community in Downsville with Bro. Jerry Whitman officiating. 
Visitation will be Monday, December 17 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Holmesville 
Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the 
direction of Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Danny was born on Friday, November 30, 1956, in Monroe, LA to Ochiltree 
Hancock and June Allen Lenard and passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012. 
Danny worked for Pelican Wholesale as a truck driver. He loved animals. He 
would gladly buy food for the neighborhood cats, which he would give names to. 
He would spend hours with his mother's dogs and help take care of the puppies. 
He enjoyed the simple things in life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ochiltree Hancock, his maternal 
grandparents J.C. and Gladys Allen of Downsville, and his paternal 
grandparents Oliver and Bertha Hancock of Vienna.

Survivors include his mother June Lenard of West Monroe, brother Greg Hancock 
and wife Janice of Downsville, brother Brian Hancock and wife Jackie of 
Vienna, sister Carole Ann Tisdale and husband Jerry of Minden, sister Karen 
Joy Hancock of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, 
cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Todd Hancock, Kyle Hancock, Curt Allen, Randy Foster, Mike 
Brown, and Bobby Rychart.
