A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19th at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church Sanctuary. Talmage was born December 26, 1942 in Oak Grove, LA. He graduated from Ruston High School in 1960, then attended Louisiana Tech where he owned Bills Barbeque. Following graduation from Northeast Louisiana University he served in the Air Force Reserves. He had a strong entrepreneurial spirit, continuously developing products for the housing industry through which he established Liberia Manufacturing and G. T. Laminating. His love for music was commonly expressed through admiration of its instrumental clarity. Talmage is preceded in death by his mother Julie Dartlon, father William Olvis Hanson, and two brothers Ronald Lavell Freeman and Charles Ray Hanson. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Elizabeth Hanson, children; Laundi Hanson Williams and husband Stephen of Choudrant, LA, Ashton Olaf Hanson of Bossier City, LA, Cadre Yngve Hanson of Norway, Ashley Elizabeth Hanson and Adrianne Barclay Hanson of Scottsdale, AZ, two step-children; Jennifer Leigh McMahon of Scottsdale, AZ and Timothy Jake Grolich of Elkhart, IN, dear friend and compadre; Salvador X. Garcia; eight grandchildren; two brothers; John Prentice Hanson of Shreveport, LA, Jerrell Dwayne Hanson of Ruston, LA and sister Margie Marie Walker of Ruston, LA. Most of all, Talmage wanted his wife and children to know how much he loved them. We will always remember his parting words, "Come see me sometime."
