David Willoughby officiating. Interment will be in Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, LA. Mr. Harrison was born July 11, 1943 in Ashley County, AR to Whitfield and Ruth Myers Harrison and passed away Monday, January 26, 2009, at St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe, LA. He retired as a Captain with the City of Monroe Fire Department, after thirty-one years of service. Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Margaret Hensley, Edith Gay, and Frances Barnes; and one brother, Delbert Harrison, Sr. Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Gwendolyn Greer Harrison; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Stephanie Harrison of Nashville, AR, and Jesse and Angela Harrison of Monroe, LA; one brother, Billy Ralph Harrison and wife Danora of Gardendale, TX; three sisters, Faye Echlin and husband Larry of Star City, AR, Sue Barnes and husband Bob of Russellville, AR, and Shirley Makovec of Star City, AR; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Greer and wife Linda of West Monroe, LA; one sister-in-law, Nancy Harrison of Carl Junction, MO; four grandchildren, Alyssa and Andrew Harrison of Nashville, AR, and Emma and Joshua Harrison of Monroe, LA. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Gay, Dennis Roper, Tony Echlin, Kevin Greer, Darrell Porter, and Chris Minor. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
