Funeral services for Mr. Courtland E. "Spot" Hathaway, 84, of Monroe, will be 
held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2008, in the chapel of Mulhearn 
Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Robert "Bodie" Spicer officiating. Interment 
will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn 
Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Hathaway passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008. He was a retired 
conductor/switchman for Missouri Pacific Railroad, a U. S. Army veteran of 
WWII, and a member of Cheniere Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a 
sister, Gwen Roberson.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years on October 2nd, Ruth Ferrington 
Hathaway; daughters, Ann Sullivan and husband Jim of Manassas, VA, Sue Renfrow 
and husband Max of West Monroe, LA, Martha Fisher and husband Rick of Monroe, 
LA, and Alice Harris and husband Kimbal of Rincon, GA; special niece, 
Kathy "Bubbles" Sanders and husband Al of West Monroe, LA; six grandchildren, 
five great grandchildren, brother, Robert Hathaway and wife Camille of West 
Monroe, LA; sisters-in-law, June Ferrington and Blanche Kiesewetter; and 
Special Puppy(Bebee).

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Cheniere Baptist Church or your favorite charity.

The family wishes to express Special Thanks to Dr. David Yarbrough and his 
office staff, Kathy Lenard, Dr's Hospice, and Glenda Thomas for their care of 
Mr. Hathaway.
