OPAL MARIE HAWLEY

Opal Marie Hawley was born June 8, 1925 in Boswell, OK. She went to be with her 
Lord Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Shreveport.

Marie married Eugene E. Hawley, Jr. May 12, 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Hawley moved to 
Kansas City, MO and a few years later to Shreveport, LA for the next 18 years. 
Mrs. Hawley worked for the City of DeRidder for more than 25 years. She retired 
as the secretary to the Mayor. She and Mr. Hawley retired to Hot Springs 
Village, AR in 1990 and moved back to Shreveport in 1995. She resided at The 
Waterford for the last 8 years.

Mrs. Hawley is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. Hawley, Jr., her 
parents; three brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey 
Lance Hawley and his wife Pam, David Allen Hawley, and Eugene (Hap) E. Hawley, 
III.; two grandchildren, Suzanne Harman and husband Hunter and Allison Davis 
and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Claire Harman, Ella Harman, Caroline 
Davis and Mitchell Davis; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of 
friends.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Hawley will be conducted 
Tuesday, May 26, 2015, 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, 
LA. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the 
family will be 1:00 PM until service time.
