Reverends Dwight Fulton and Nathan Thornton will officiate the services. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA. Chris was born April 18, 1980 in Bastrop, LA. and he passed away March 29, 2016 in Farmerville, LA. Chris was an active member of the Living Way Apostolic Church and was baptized and raised in the Bastrop United Pentecostal Church. He was an Asset Protection Officer with Brookshire's Grocery, a reserve deputy with the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Department, and a former police officer for the City of Bastrop. He was also a member and secretary for the Burnt Stump Hunting Club. Chris loved the outdoors, he had a passion for deer hunting, and he enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Born with a servant's heart he received much joy in the friendships he made and the opportunities he had to be of service to others. Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Chas Hawthorne and their son, Trystan Robin Kage Hawthorne of West Monroe; his parents, Robin and Evelyn Hawthorne; two sisters, Anna Oliver and husband, Keith, and Rachel Hawthorne, all of West Monroe. He is also survived by his grandparents, Rev. James and Frances Hawthorne and T.W. and Peggy Wallace, all of Bastrop, LA; his in-laws, Vernon and Peggy Ford of West Monroe; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Hawthorne, Jess Hawthorne, Marcus Hawthorne, Jeremy Eudy, Kris McKoin, and Jason McKoin. Honorary pallbearers will be the men and women of the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Department. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31st, beginning at 5:00 PM unitl 9:00 PM at the Bastrop United Pentecostal Church.
