GENOMA ANN HAWTHORNE 

Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA 

Funeral services for Genoma Ann Hawthorne, 69, of Winnsboro, LA will be held 
at the Apostolic Tabernacle in Winnsboro on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM 
with Bro. Michael Couch and Bro. Jerry Conley officiating. Interment will 
follow at New Life Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial 
Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Genoma Hawthorne was born December 29, 1939 in 
Bonita, LA and passed away Wednesday July 15, 2009 at her residence in 
Winnsboro. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle. She 
was preceded in Death by: Father-Armor Carlton Herrington; Mother-Georgie 
Evelyn (Vail) Herrington; Brother-Bob Herrington. Survivors include: Husband-
Nile H. "Sam" Hawthorne of Winnsboro, LA.; 2 sons-Ivan Hawthorne and wife 
Sonja of Winnsboro, LA.; Jason Hawthorne of Winnsboro, LA.; Daughter-Carol 
Hawthorne of Winnsboro, LA; Brother-F. G. Herrington of Little Rock, AR.; 2 
sisters-Dixie Fink and husband Jimmy of Scott, AR. ; Edna Blalock of 
Winnsboro, LA.; Grandchildren-Adam Hawthorne and wife Sarah Ryan Hawthorne; 
Great Grandson-Carson Adam Hawthorne; survived by a host of friends, 
relatives, and church family. Pallbearers will be Eric Andrews, Dennis 
Johnson, Chad Hatton, Corey Hawthorne, Adam Hawthorne, and Ryan Hawthorne. 
Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Dale Mixon and Rodney McMurray. The family 
will receive friends at Apostolic Tabernacle, Winnsboro from 5:00 PM, 
Thursday, July 16, 2009 until service time on Friday.
