Frank Coens officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paschal's Catholic Church Cemetery. Mildred was born on May 3, 1922 in Union County, AR and passed away on November 25, 2015 in West Monroe, LA. She went to Central School and graduated from Spearsville High School in Union Parish. She retired from S&H Green Stamp Store. She and her husband, Herbert loved to spend time at their camp on Old River, LaSalle Parish and Horseshoe Lake in Morehouse Parish. They both loved to travel and visited all of the states, where they traveled to Hawaii three times, Bahamas, Canada, and Mexico. Also, they loved to fish, garden, and just relax. Mildred was also a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, member of the Ancillary Board at NELA War Veteran's Home, charter and life member of Amvets Aux. No.5, served one term as VEPT Dept. President, life member of DAV Aux . Chapter 8, life member of VFW Aux. 7882, and member of LLM Chapter 4 OES. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.I. and Rachel Thomas; daughter, Peggy Dodd; three brothers, M.L. Graham, Sr., Lavelle Thomas and Arnold Thomas; four sisters, Annie Wood, Evelyn T. Patton, Selma T. Shows and Jessie T. Sanders; two step-children, Margaret H. Goodman and Tommy Hayes. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Herbert O. Hayes; grandsons, Frank J. Hull and Clyde L. (Chip) Hull; special niece and nephew, Evelyn and Paul Beaird; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Visitation will be held from 12:30PM until service time Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
