Hayes, returned to his Heavenly home, Saturday May 7, 2016. He was born in Urania, Louisiana, February 24, 1937, to Bunyon Hayes and Carrie Powell Hayes. He is the youngest of five children. Stanley was a Navy veteran and worked in the oil and gas industry. He loved horses, antique cars, and motorcycles. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served others in many capacities throughout his life. Stanley is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn; children Denise (Lothar) Batschauer , Kelly McGillicuddy, Denise (Michael) Ross, and Russell (Emily) Poole; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Maxwell; and special nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Luther Hayes; sister, Merle Dearmon, and sister, JoAnn Wiggins. The family will receive friends at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Hwy 165 N., Monroe, La, on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 6-8 Pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Bishop Don Hunsaker and Justin Hardy, officiating. Interment will follow the service at 1:00 PM at Squires Cemetery, Summerville, LaSalle Parish. Pallbearers will be Derek Poole, Aaron Ross, Lothar Batschauer, Glade Smith, Howard Bailey; and Adam Bailey; with honorary pallbearers, James Coker, Bill Ober, and Ronnie Taylor.
