Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn O. Haynes, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at 10:00 Friday, May 1, 2009, at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Danny 
McIlveene officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in 
Calhoun.

Mrs. Haynes was born November 15, 1921, in San Antonio, TX. She was the 
daughter of the late Clyde A. Hallmark and Bertha Curry Hallmark Martin. She 
passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in West Monroe, LA. A dedicated wife, 
mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Mrs. 
Haynes was a homemaker and a member of the Community Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister and by her son, Jerry David 
Haynes.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, William C. Haynes, Sr.; 
son, Gene C. Haynes, Sr. and wife, Martha; daughters: Sallie Haynes Stevenson 
and husband, David; and Kitty Kathleen Haynes Smith and husband, Eddie; son, 
William C. Haynes, Jr.; a brother, Charles M. Martin, Jr., and wife, Martha; 
14 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great great 
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home in West Monroe, LA.
