Phillip Raybourn and Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Mr. Louis Gray Haynes died peacefully at home surrounded by his cherished family on his 85th birthday. Lovingly known as "Grandpa" by all, he was born in Monroe on December 11, 1923. He loved his country. He took great pride in his 22 years of honorable service with the United States Air Force retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. A true Southern gentleman, his greatest joy was spending time with his wife of 54 years, Lander, and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Grady Haynes, Sr. and Elva Wall Haynes, and his brother, J.G. Haynes, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Lander; daughters, Louise Ramsa of Fort Worth, TX, Kate Wiley and husband George of West Monroe, LA; Elizabeth Secor and husband Dale of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Rachel E. Raybourn and husband Zach serving in the United States Army, Candise Ramsa, Zachary Streeter and two great grand children. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, LA. Well done, my good and faithful servant.
