Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Private Interment services will be held in the Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Haynes was born on May 7, 1922 in Delhi, LA and went to be with our Heavenly Father on December 8, 2016. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. A longtime member of Community Baptist Church and Glenwood Auxiliary, Margaret was a traveler of the long road of life and she continues down that road today. A true believer, her prayer was that all her children and grandchildren would join her someday. Mrs. Haynes is preceded in death by her parents, Roma and James A. Nelson, and her husband for 63 years, Jacob G. Haynes, Jr.; 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Survivors include her brother, James A. Nelson, Jr. and wife, Virginia of Bossier City, LA; children, James G. Haynes and wife, Gail, John S. Haynes and wife, Sue, and Jeffery D. Haynes and wife, Sharon; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time at Community Baptist Church on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association . The family would like to give a special thank you to the Stoneybrook Alzheimer's Care Facility for their compassionate care during Mom's final days.
