Delhi, LA

Funeral services for Mrs. Jean C. Hazlitt, 83, of Delhi will be held at 2:00 
PM, Friday, October 16, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Delhi with Rev. 
Mickey Bounds officiating.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. Thursday at Cox 
Funeral Home in Delhi.

Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox 
Funeral Home of Delhi.

Mrs. Hazlitt was a native of Lafayette, LA and died on Monday, October 12, 
2009 in Clearwater, FL.

She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Delhi where she 
served in the choir for many years as well as assisting in youth education and 
recreation programs. She graduated from Tioga High School and attended 
Louisiana State University.

Mrs. Hazlitt worked at Delhi Elementary School for many years as a Title I 
Reading Instructor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Crider Campbell and Ethel Clyde 
Graham Campbell and her husband Henry Abner Hazlitt.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Hazlitt Verrette & her husband Craig of 
Destrahan, LA and Claire Hazlitt Thompson & her husband Gary of Casa Grande, 
AZ; one son, Dr. Andrew Hazlitt and his wife Catharine of Clearwater, FL; 
three grandsons, Adam Verrette, Jared Thompson and Cole Hazlitt, two 
granddaughters, Kelley Thompson and Amelia Hazlitt and one sister, Harriet 
Rowley of Salt Lake City, NV.

Pallbearers will be Jared Thompson, Adam Verette, Milton Linder, Jim Free, Bud 
LaPrairie and James Curry.
