FRANK L. HEFNER

A private memorial service for Frank L. Hefner of Monroe will be held on 
Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home with Rev. 
George Wortham and Rev. David Worthington officiating.

Mr. Hefner passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011, after a lengthy illness.

Layne was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Lee Hefner and Jackye Ford 
Hefner, and his twin brother, John Wayne Hefner, all of Bastrop, LA.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Diana Lowery Hefner of Monroe; his 
son, Robert Layne Hefner and wife, Joie and granddaughter, Nisah Olivia-Monet 
Hefner of Keller, TX; brother, Kenneth Hefner and wife, Joann of West Monroe; 
nieces, Kynn Hefner Bilbo and Lynn Reed of Arkansas; nephew, Neil Hefner of 
Arkansas; and mother-in-law, Mavis James Lowery of Monroe.

One of Hef's greatest pleasures was driving his red 1963 Corvette. Layne was a 
member of the North Monroe Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to River Oaks School Music Department or to the 
Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.

Layne's family would like to say a special thank you to the VA Home staff for 
his last five years of care. May God bless you for the service that you do.
