Lynn Malone, Rev. J. Roddy Taylor, and Rev. Chris Winterman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Monroe under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Heller was born on March 2, 1920 in Monroe, LA. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and attended Northeast Louisiana Junior College. She met her husband, Everett G. Heller, when he was stationed at Selman Field while enlisted in the United States Army Air Force. They were married at First United Methodist Church on December 26, 1944. In her earlier years, Mrs. Heller loved to cook and entertain. She served as President of the CPA Wives' Club, Kiwanis Wives' Club, and Monroe Literary Club. Mrs. Heller was a member of First United Methodist Church, Monroe. She passed away on June 4, 2017. Mrs. Heller was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mae Lucky; and her husband of 59 years, Everett G. Heller. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy DeCelle and husband Malcolm; grandchildren, Denny DeCelle and Leah Sumrall and husband, Kevin; and great- grandchildren, Katie, Davis, AnneMarie, Gabby, and Alex. Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Franklin, Jim Howard, Jay Marx, Jim Norwood, Harry Prophit, and John Sitton. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Bill Kelly. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Morgan for his years of dedication to Mrs. Heller, as well as all of her nurses and caregivers. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, Monroe, from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 3900 Loop Road, Monroe, LA 71201, or to your favorite charity.
