Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred B. Henderson, 86, of Monroe, will be held at 
11:00 AM Saturday, May 23, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. William L. Smith officiating. Interment will 
follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mrs. Henderson was born in Tylertown, MS on November 4, 1922 and began her life 
with the Lord Wednesday, May 20, 2009. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist 
Church and also attended the Cheatham Bible Class on Tuesday nights. She was 
active in telephone pioneers and had served as Worthy Matron of Dixie Chapter 
#179 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Henderson retired from South Central Bell 
and maintained many friendships from her volunteer work and from her years 
spent at Highland Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luvesta and Ora Lee Blackwell; and 
five siblings.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years, Delbert L. Henderson; and two 
sisters, Inis Holmes and Mary B. Magee and husband William.

She also leaves behind many precious memories with her numerous nieces, 
nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Barney Tucker, Sherman Thompson, Perry Magee, Jeff Wood, 
Jimmy Ray Henderson, and Kenneth Ray Johnson.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.

The family appreciates the love and care shown to Miss Mildred the last six 
months by her caregivers, Florence, Kim, and Dee Johnson.
