NORMA COLVIN HENDRIX

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the 
chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Les Colvin will be 
officiating. Interment will follow at Luna Methodist Church Cemetery under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mrs. Hendrix was born December 21, 1931 in West Monroe and passed away January 
6, 2012 in West Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Todd Hendrix; parents; Jewel 
Emmett and Gladys Lloyd Colvin; brother Jewel Emmett Colvin, Jr.; sister Marie 
Owens.

Mrs. Hendrix was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a friend. She 
enjoyed traveling, camping and cooking for family gatherings. She loved birds 
and flowers and all of God's creations but most of all her husband of nearly 
65 years. Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Cypress Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her husband Ralph J. Hendrix; daughter Susan H. 
Hummel and friend Darrell Hall; grandson Michael Hendrix and wife Crystal; 
granddaughter Megan M. Hendrix; great-grandson Scott Blayne Chandler; brother 
Donald L. Colvin and wife Aleatha; sister Ola Mae Bounds and husband Bert; 
nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Hendrix, Darrell Hall, Steve Hendrix, Tommy 
Hendrix, John Owens and Henson Coon.

Honorary pallbearers are David Owens and John Bounds.

A special thanks to Home Care Resources, First Choice Hospice, Kanitra, 
Lashondra and Sandra.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe.
