Gordon "Skip" Dean and Rev. Robbie Robison officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Mrs. Hendry was born on August 13, 1942 and passed away at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA on March 29, 2009. Mrs. Hendry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. Mrs. Hendry retired from Louisiana State Health Department after 17 years. She was a member of the Morning Star Quilt Guild. Sue and her husband Louie were members of the Good News Club at Riverbend Elementary. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Arien Freeman; brothers, William "Bill" and Jerry Freeman; sisters, Betty Jo and Mary Freeman. Survivors include her husband, Louie Hendry; children, Thomas D. Elledge, Tammie Pate and husband Franklin, Lisa Hembree and husband Jeff, and Eric Hendry; grandchildren, Jordan Elledge, Austin Elledge, Graham Creery, Haley Evans, Ellen Pate, Abby Pate, Ben Hembree, and Heather LaRoux; four great grandchildren; brother, James Robert Freeman and wife Rita; sisters-in-law, Pearlie Freeman and Mary Ann Freeman; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gary Thomas, Greg Green, Brent Bigelow, Bill Berry, Keith Berry, Dewayne Hendry, and Michael Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Price and Johnny Loper. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wedesday April 1, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. Memorials may be made to Gideon's for the dedication of bibles.
