HENNEN JR. John O Hennen Jr.,age 85, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, at Glenwood Medical Center. Mr. Hennen was faithful to his country and fellow citizens by serving in four different branches of the Armed Forces. He first joined the military at fifteen years of age. Mr. Hennen had several different occupations. He was a pastor in the Bible Missionary Church, and was the first and founding pastor of the Bible Missionary Church here in Monroe over 51 years ago. He was a Little Rock, Arkansas police officer. He later went to work for the state of Louisiana as an air conditioning mechanic for LTI and Conway hospital. He worked for Plunk's Wrecker Service for many years, and he was well known as a greeter for Walmart. Throughout the years in these places of work, he made many friends, and he is greatly loved and will be missed by all. Mr. Hennen faithfully attended the Bible Missionary Church in Monroe, Louisiana the last several years of his life. Years before he had started and pastored this church. After years of absence, he got saved and began to attend again. He was greatly loved by all who attended Monroe Bible Missionary Church. He had a vibrant testimony, a loving spirit, and a winning personality. He will be greatly missed by his church family. Mr. Hennen was preceded in death by his parents, John O and Amy Hennen; by his son, John O Hennen III; and by his brother, H. Benson Hennen. He is survived by his wife, Sue Roberts Hennen; children, Cindy and husband Don Egbert; Mickey Roper, Becky and husband Randy Southerland, Susan and husband Alan Casteel, Tommy and wife Becky Hennen, Jana and husband Todd Fatheree, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family. Mr. Hennen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Visitation will be held at the Bible Missionary Church, 1146 Finks Hideaway Road, Monroe, Louisiana, on Tuesday, October 27, 10:00am-12:00pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 27, 1:00 pm, at the Bible Missionary Church. Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery near Choudrant, Louisiana.
