THOMAS A.HERRING Owens Memorial Chapel
Arcadia, LA

Graveside services for Thomas A. Herring, 81, formerly of West Monroe, will be 
3:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Unionville Cemetery near Dubach with Mr. 
Donald Wood officiating. Mr. Herring died Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Homer, LA 
following a Lengthy illness. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens 
Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Herring is preceded in death by his wife, Melva "Jane" Herring. He worked 
for Dr. Pepper Bottling and then Coca Cola Bottling where he retired in 1991 
after many years of service. He is also a Navy veteran that served in the 
Pacific Theater during WW II. Mr. Herring is a longtime member and Deacon in 
The Living Church of God and was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his brother, Virgil Herring of Simsboro; Nieces, Dianne 
Herring and Geneva Tipps of Dermont, AR., Laverne Griffith of West Monroe and 
other nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Herring, James Herring, James Virgil (Jamey) 
Herring, David Griffith, David Herring and H.L. Brown.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 1:30PM until 2:30PM at the
