Arrangements were under the directions of Dobies Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs. Tom was born on May 21, 1947, in Baltimore Maryland, to the union of John and Lorraine Harrison Herrmann. His mother was a native of Monroe, Louisiana, and his father was stationed at Selman Field during World War II. Tom enjoyed many happy times with his family in Monroe, including his special Uncle and Aunt, Earl and Eloise Vigg. Mr. Herrmann was a graduate of Mr. St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, where he excelled on the school's swim team. He was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe and received his Masters degree from LaSalle University. Tom worked as a teacher at Mr. St. Joseph in Baltimore, where he taught Science and Math for many years. He was a charter member of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and operated his own clock and watch repair business. Throughout his life, Tom maintained a keen interest in all things scientific and mechanical. After his retirement he moved to Tarpon Springs where he enjoyed many happy years. Tom's friends will gather at a later date to scatter his ashes. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harry; and his Aunt and Uncle. He is survived by two brothers, John Herrmann of Ashville, N.C., and Joe Herrmann and wife Samantha of Paw Paw, West Virginia; his best friend in life, Mike Adams of Jena, Louisiana; one niece Elaine Blais, and three nephews, Jamie Herrmann, Andy Herrmann and Luke Herrmann; his beloved cousins Dottie Moses of West Monroe and Sandra Daniel of Calhoun, as well as many friends in Baltimore, Monroe and Tarpon Springs. Memorials in his name may be made to the charity of your choice .
