Bro. Earnie Fegley will be officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tam was born February 18, 1946 in Elkins, W. Virginia to Robert Eugene McLaughlin and Doris Geraldine Leverette McLaughlin, and passed away on October 26, 2016. Prior to marriage, she was at Reservation Agent at Delta Airlines. She was introduced to Odis Crozier Hester on a blind date through a mutual friend at Delta and they were married 6 months later. Tam was a homemaker until her two children grew up. She was a longtime and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She volunteered in the church nursery and then became a preschool teacher for 20 years. Tam was the most kind and caring person, she was always concerned about the feelings of others. Tam was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gerry McLaughlin; maternal grandparents, Archie and Lucille Leverette; paternal grandparents, Robert and Nora McLaughlin, and her brother-in-law, Jimmie O. Hester. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 47 years, Odis C. Hester; son, Deron Crozier Hester; daughter Amy Elizabeth Muiznieks and husband, David; grandchildren, Luke, Emma and Mitch Muiznieks; her very dear friend, Helen Cook; uncle, Charles Leverette and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Brenda Hester of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law, Gene Hester of W. Monroe, LA; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to say a special thanks to Tam's nurse Donita and CNA Cathy for all the care and support they gave, and to the staff at Amedysis Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations may be made in Tam's honor at The ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
