VAN JOSEPH HICKS

Funeral services for Van Joseph Hicks Sr., age 89, of Lake Providence, 
Louisiana will be 11AM, Saturday, March 23, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic 
Church in Lake Providence with Father Mark Watson and Reverend Joe Wiggins 
officiating. Interment will be in the Providence Memorial Cemetery. Services 
are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home with a 
rosary at 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM.

A celebration of life (Memories) at 6:00 PM, Friday at Cox Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Laurie Rabun Hicks; his 
mother, Annie Hicks.

 Van is survived by his son, Van Hicks Jr. of Farmerville, Louisiana; daughter 
and son-in-law, Lauren and Joe Wiggins of Eagleville, Tennessee; granddaughter, 
Erika Fox and husband Greg of Eagleville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Chloe 
Grace Stuard and Joseph Benton Fox of Eagleville, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will be Wyly Gilfoil, Cain Gilfoil, Phil Tomlinson, Jimmy Stuart, 
Buddy Fairchild, James Nugent. 

Honorary pallbearers will be George Fox, Bubba Brown, Michael Brown, John 
McKenzie, George Kelly, Chuck Goodson, Ralph Jukkola, Don Burgess and members 
of the grandstand quarterback club.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 207 
Scarborough Street, Lake Providence, Louisiana 71254.
