ALVIS A. JR. HICKS

Funeral Services for Alvis A. Hicks, Jr., 70, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 
2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 29, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West 
Monroe, LA with Rev. Mickey Cleveland officiating. Interment will follow in the 
Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Hicks was born on June 8, 1944 and passed away on June 26, 2014. He retired 
from Air Products and was currently working at West Ridge Middle School as 
Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Hicks was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. 
He was a hardworking man who worked until his last days without anyone ever 
knowing how sick he really was. He was a man of pride and integrity who would be 
there anytime you needed him. Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his parents, 
Alvis A. Hicks, Sr. and Ruth Lavern Welch Hicks; brother-in-law, James Dortch.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Ann Toler Hicks; children, David Lee Toler and 
wife, Dee Dee; Michelle Hicks Garcia and husband, Anthony; and Nicholas James 
Sanquinette and wife, Renee; sister, Mary Elizabeth Dortch; brothers, Danny Lee 
Hicks and wife, Arlene; David Alan Hicks and wife, Brenda; and Bennie Ray Hicks 
and wife, Vickie; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Aulds, Brandon Greenway, Paul Leggett, Michael Hicks, 
Josh Johnson, David Hicks, Jeremy Hicks and Jim McKay.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Mulhearn 
Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
