Keith Stephens and Rev. John Cleveland officiating, internment to follow in Prewitt Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, LA. Dock, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired fish farmer, passed away Friday, April 25, 2009, after a lengthy illness with lung cancer, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents G. C. and Mamie Hill; sisters, Annie Bell Jones, Mozelle Bengtson, Maxine Wiggins and Lona McDonald; brothers, G.C. Hill, Jr. and James Hill and a granddaughter, Hillary Noble Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Trudy Boughton Hill of Mangham, LA; daughters, Leah Erikson and her husband George, Jr. of New York, NY and Marty Thomas and her husband Jeff of Monroe, LA; grandchildren Ella and George Erikson, III of New York, NY, Francie, Jacob, Katie, and Jonah Thomas all of Monroe, LA; sisters, Geraldine Hill of Archibald, LA, Bernice Boydstun of Natchitoches, LA; brothers, Eugene Hill of Archibald, LA, Billy Hill of Mangham, LA, Tom Hill and Grant Hill both of Archibald, LA; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be nephews, Buddy Hill, Brian Hill, Sidney Ray Hill, Roy Wiggins, Charles McDonald and Tom Hill, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2009, at the funeral home.
