HOUSTON HILL

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Graveside services for LTC Houston Hill, U.S. Army (Ret.) 
will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Start Cemetery, Start, LA, with 
U.S. Army Honors. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Patton, an associate pastor at 
Cypress Baptist Church, Benton, LA.

Houston was born to James and Willie Mae Hill in Start, LA on October 30, 1931 
and died January 12, 2017 in Bossier City. Not only was Houston retired from 
the U.S. Army, he was also a retired high school teacher, having taught JROTC 
at Rider High School in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a member of the Benton 
Masonic Lodge.

Houston is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Twila Malone and brother, 
John A. Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lenora Hill of Bossier City; sons, Jerry 
Delton Hill of Bossier City, LA, William Albert Hill and wife, Tami of 
Texarkana, TX; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
