HELEN RUTH ROBERTS HINES


Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Ruth Roberts Hines, 85, of Calhoun, LA will be
held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home
West Monroe, LA with Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Interment will follow in the
Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Hines was born on November 2, 1927 in Monroe, LA and died on April 16, 2013
after a brief illness. She was owner of Helen's Lounge on Layton Street in
Monroe and Steep Bayou Lounge in 1964. She was a co-owner of seafood and fish
markets in the Monroe area. Mrs. Hines enjoyed gardening and fishing and being
with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Blanchard Hines, Sr.;
parents, Barney E. and Katie Mae Roberts; son-in-law, Jerry Peoples; infant
granddaughter; and her brothers and sisters, Earl Roberts, Barney E. Roberts,
Jr., Jean Inzina and Ruby Purdy.

Survivors include son, Blanchard Hines, Jr.; daughters, Gloria Brewster and
husband, Gene and Sue Peoples; brothers, Bill Roberts and Joe Roberts;
sister-in-law, Francis Adkins; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1
great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great
grandsons, Noah Brown and Blake Linzay.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2013
at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the
Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter.
