THERON DALE JR. HINTON

Graveside services for Mr. Theron Dale Hinton, Jr., age 73 of Hodge, will be 
held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 2, 2014 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ruston. 
Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill Strawbridge and Rev. Dick Hooton. 
Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of 
Ruston.

Mr. Hinton was born August 6, 1940 in Ruston and died April 28, 2014 in 
Minden. He was an Archivist for the State of Louisiana for many years. Prior 
to that, Mr. Hinton was an instructor at Louisiana Tech. In his spare time, he 
enjoyed reading, music, gardening, cooking and as he said "piddling around" 
his house. He was preceded in death by his parents: Theron Dale Hinton, Sr. 
and Georgia Woodward Hinton.

Mr. Hinton is survived by his brothers: L. Frank Hinton of Ruston, Billy Dan 
Hinton of Minden and Richard M. Hinton of Ruston; his sister: Gwendolyn Hinton 
of Jonesboro; two aunts: Pauline Gallien of Monroe and Mary Grace Woodward of 
Haughton and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
