L. HINTON, JR. Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. C. L. Hinton, Jr., 67, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hinton passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at his residence after a lengthy battle with emphysema. Mr. Hinton was a 1959 graduate of Ouachita Parish High School. In 1963, he received his degree in Sociology and a minor in Geology from Northeast Louisiana University. He spent his business career as a car salesman, where he loved working with his co-workers and customers and retired from Cooper Buick in 2001. He enjoyed his free time fishing and working in his rose garden and vegetable garden. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn C. Hinton; daughter, Kim Hinton Adams and husband Jerry; sons, William Randall Hinton and Aaron Wayne Hinton and fiancé Andrea; four grandchildren, Jordan Hinton, Zeke Adams, Jessie Roberson, and Holly Adams; great grandson, Blake Roberson; mother, Effie May Hinton; two sisters, Sylvia H. Wilhite and husband Lilburn and Elaine H. Boudreaux and husband Glenn; sister-in-law, DeLane Hollis and husband Benny; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jackie Norton, Jerry Adams, Dobie Mixon, Joe May, Glenn Boudreaux, and Ray Newman. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Williams and staff; Hospice Care of Louisiana; Travis, Sean, Leah, Vickie, Jessica, and Kendra for all their special care of Mr. Hinton.
