Officiating the service will be Rev. Dick Hooton and Rev. Bill Strawbridge. The service is under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Hinton was born September 11, 1941 in Ruston to Theron Dale Hinton, Sr. and Georgia Mae Hinton. He died May 6, 2015 in Ruston. He was a mud logger in the oilfield for many years and in his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, gunsmithing, reading, playing guitar and keyboard and spending time with his beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Theron Dale Hinton, Jr. Mr. Hinton is survived by his sister: Gwendolyn Hinton of Jonesboro; his two brothers: Billy Dan Hinton of Minden and Richard M. Hinton of Ruston; two aunts: Pauline Gallien of Monroe and Mary Grace Woodward of Haughton as well as his nieces, nephews and other family members.
