Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA with Dr. Reggie Bridges and Rev. Dale Oden officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until the service on Thursday, March 31, 2016 under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston. Kay went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 27, 2016 after a long battle with Vasculitis and kidney failure. Kay was born on July 18, 1938 in Laurens, SC, and graduated Laurens High School in 1956, graduated Nursing School and attended The McLeod School of Anesthesia, graduating in 1965. Kay served as a Nurse Anesthetist for over 40 yrs. in SC and LA. On April 18, 1970, Kay married Gray Hipp, Jr. They moved to Ruston, LA in August 1981. Kay had three great loves: her Lord and Savior, her Family, and her work. She was an active member of Temple Baptist Church, a Ladies Bible Study group in Monroe, and worked on Nicaragua medical mission trips. She is survived by her husband of 46 yrs., Gray; two sons: David and wife, Donna, and Clay and wife, Christy; five grandchildren: Callie Hipp, Katie Rome and husband, Nick, Garrett Hipp, Parker Hipp, and Grayson Hipp; one great grandchild, Gabriella Rome; brother, Hugh Foster Morgan and wife, Meg of Phoenix, AZ, and numerous cousins and nephews. Family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Ben Grigsby, Dr. Richard O'Donovan, Dr. Robin Sharp, the staff and personnel of both Alpine Rehab Hospital and Fresenius Dialysis care for all their help and care. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Temple Baptist Church~ Nicaraguan Medical Missions Fund, 1515 South Service Road, Ruston, LA 71270.
