She was predeceased by her husband D. J. Hogan, to whom she was married for 69 years. Funeral services will be held at Glenmora Baptist Church in Glenmora, Louisiana, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012, with the Reverend Major C. Speights officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment will immediately follow the service and will be at Camp Ground Cemetery, where her family members have been buried for generations and where she faithfully served as a board member. Pallbearers will be Trey Brown, Mac Jerry, Josh Rockett, Burt Starks, Justin Stoppleworth, and Rob Stoppleworth. Services are under the direction of John Kramer & Son of Alexandria, LA. A native of Glenmora, Mrs. Hogan was the daughter of the late Walter William and Villula Havens Germany. Mrs. Hogan graduated from Glenmora High School, where she was tied for valedictorian. Mrs. Hogan was a church secretary for 30 years. She was a faithful member of the WMU, GA leader, Sunday School teacher, and Vacation Bible School worker in the churches she attended in Groves, Texas; Aiken, South Carolina; La Place, Louisiana; and Glenmora. In addition, she was active in Eastern Star, where she held leadership positions at the local and state level. She was also a member of the Friends of the Library, the Business and Professional Women's Club, and a book club. She also enjoyed serving as an election worker in Louisiana during election years. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by a son Dan Hogan, a granddaughter Lily Stoppleworth, a sister Lola Butler, and three brothers: Roy, Louis, and Bill Germany. Survivors include a daughter Kathy Brown and her husband Carl of Aiken, South Carolina; two sons, Don Hogan and his wife Barbara of Downsville, Louisiana; and Ron Hogan of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren: Carie Hogan, Trey Brown and his wife Kelley, Tammy Jerry and her husband Mac, Melanie Starks and her husband Burt, Donna Rockett and her husband Josh, and Lily's husband Rob Stoppleworth; one brother, Tom Germany and his wife Sherry of Oberlin. Mrs. Hogan was also blessed with many great- grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Glenmora Baptist Church, P.O.
