There will be a graveside service honoring her life at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Wadsworth. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Stella was born March 25, 1925, in San Augustine, Texas, to Samuel and Edna Eberlan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Hollis, parents and 7 siblings. Stella retired from Montgomery Ward after 35 years of service. She was an avid horsewoman, Stella and her husband, Waymon were charter members of the West Monroe Walking Horse Association and for many years were instrumental in promoting the annual Walking Horse Show in the Monroe area. Showing her walking horses gave her many years of pleasure. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Willie Gossett and husband Bob, Deberry, TX, Frances Irving and husband John, Minden, LA, Diane Griggs and husband Tommy, W. Monroe, LA, grandchildren, Warren Collie, Bossier City, LA, Kathleen Kraemer (Mark) Shreveport, LA, Mary Beth Love (Jeff) Niceville, FL, Sharon Gorman (B.J.) of Frisco, TX, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be B.J.Gorman, Dr. Mark Kraemer, Warren Collie, Don McCullough, James Gardner, and Scotty Aulds. The family wishes to express their love and appreciation to Dr. Chris Earnhardt and the staff of Town and Country Nursing Center and Weston Rehab for the love, expert care, and compassion shown to our mother.
