She was the sixth child of James Leroy and Illa Mae Reeves Redwine with four sisters and two brothers. While the children were still very young, the family moved to Tensas Parish, Louisiana, where many of them lived and worked most of the rest of their lives. Bonnie was a dedicated Christian who served the Lord every day of her life. While in St. Joseph, she attended the Church of Christ with many friends. Once in West Monroe, she attended the Jackson Street Church of Christ with family and many other friends. Bonnie was a strong lady and believed deeply in the Word of The Lord as evidenced by her life and the love, care, and attention she gave to all her family and new acquaintances she soon after called friends. Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents, all sisters and brothers, husband Josh "Jack" Hollis, sons-in-law, Don R Wood and Frank Gipson, daughter-in-law, Connie Fredrick Allen, and "raised like a grandson", Jake Redwine.
