GEORGE WILLIAM JR. HOLLIS

Memorial services for Mr. George William Hollis, Jr. of Calhoun, LA will 
2:00pm Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Jackson Street Church of Christ in 
Monroe, LA. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until time of service at the 
church.

George William Hollis Jr. was born October 30, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany to 
George and Ann Hollis. He passed away October 30, 2016.

George Jr. was a member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ in Monroe, 
Louisiana. He appreciated the simple things in life. He woke up early each 
morning to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. He enjoyed growing fresh 
vegetables, fishing, hunting, cooking over a fire and being in the outdoors. 
He was very proud of his sons and grandchildren and loved them very much. He 
was devoted to his parents and has spent a lot of his time recently caring 
for them which will always be appreciated by the family. He had a big heart 
and was always looking to help others.

George Jr. is survived by: his parents, George & Ann Hollis; 3 Sons, Justin 
Hollis and his wife Kahla; Chandler Hollis and fiancé Victoria and Chesley 
Hollis. 2 grandchildren; Evan & Ryan Hollis. 2 brothers, Mark Hollis and his 
wife Linda; Ralph Hollis and his wife Jody. 1 sister, Melinda Hampson and 
numerous cousins and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to the Jackson Street Church of 
Christ, 1103 Jackson St, Monroe, La. 71202 or the Sterlington Church of 
Christ, 1095 Highway 2, Sterlington, La 71280.
